Media Center

Welcome to the Beauregard Elementary Media Center!

My name is Candy Crance, and I am proud to serve as the library media specialist at Beauregard Elementary School.  My passion for working with students of all ages is what led me to my career choice.

I graduated with a B.S. degree in elementary education from The University of South Alabama.  Later, I attained a master’s degree from Auburn University in Library Media.  My teaching experiences include kindergarten, reading intervention, and serving for the 9 years as library media specialist for grades K-6th.

Outside the classroom, I enjoy reading, spending time with my family, serving at the Church of the Highlands, and anything outdoors!

BGE Media Center Purpose:

The Beauregard Elementary Media Center is a resource center for teachers, students, and parents. It is an integral part of the school environment and aims to support and supplement the school's curriculum. It provides organized materials to aid in the learning process by helping students appreciate reading, develop research skills, access, evaluate, and comprehend, therefore grow intellectually. It also provides a comfortable and pleasant atmosphere for the teaching and use of library skills, for study and research, as well as for recreational reading. The Media Center is a learning zone in our school.
